HOLIDAY ARTS AND CRAFT

Make a nice gift tag or card using colorful yarns with pastel colors. Try mint green, lavender, pink or baby blue yarn. Using a string of yarn (2-3 inches long each color) glue it on into a white cardboard, forming a letter on each color. This is a cool way to label your gifts. We use pastel colors to rest the eyes from bright reds and greens from other gift wrappers under your Christmas tree.

Hippy Holidays! As children, we were all taught so many holiday paper crafts in school. Grown-ups aren't exempted from the fun of making something out of paper to brighten the season. This portion of our site, we wish to share the tricks on gift wrapping.

Gift wrapping need not be a drag. Neither do you need expensive paper to make your package attractive. Plain colored paper or Japanese paper can be a cheaper alternative to the usual flashy gift wrappers. After all, some people just throw away the wrappers ... might as well use cheap stuff.

The trick is, folding the wrappers in a creative way, so your ordinary paper will not look so ordinary. Added bonus, the person receiving your gift will also notice the time and attention you've spent wrapping the gift since it's artistically done. That will make them feel special. Right?

Here are some gift wrapping styles:
  • Simple Wrapping
  • Simple Wrapping Variation - paper bag style and envelope style
  • Making Decorative Folds - like how pros in gift shops do it
  • Japanese style of gift wrapping
    • Diagonal Wrapping
    • Square Wrapping

Have a colorful and fun Christmas!
